As we enter the fall season, it's time again to give your house a good inspection and get it ready for winter. One of the best home repair inspection checklists I've seen comes out of the University of Missouri and they adapted it from the "Home Maintenance Checklist in Maintaining the Home" Building Research Council, University of Illinois, 1995. It also references the diagram you see above which comes from the University of Wisconsin and is a great visual aid in understanding the construction elements and terms used in home construction.
