© Home-Cost.com 2007The plug and receptacle for a 240 volt circuit can come in a number of configurations. This particular tutorial shows a 240 volt; 30 amp; 3-wire system with a twist lock plug. The plug will insert into the receptacle and then be locked into position with a slight twist, preventing it from being pulled out.
