The electronic circuit breaker finder works with a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter plugs into the outlet or light socket you want to trace back to the electrical service panel.
At the electrical service panel you use an electronic receiver that is paired to the transmitter. When the receiver is placed over the circuit and circuit breaker containing the electronic signal from the transmitter, the receiver will rapidly beep and flash. It's as simple as that!
There are many manufacturers of these devices. The one I use in this tutorial is Model CS500A made by A.W. Sperry Instruments Inc.
