Troubleshooting
OK, so you hooked up the dimmer and it's not working correctly. Let's take a look at some problems and solutions:
Dimmer does not work
- Dimmer Black and Blue wires are mis-wired. Reverse the wiring of the black and blue wires.
- Air gap switch is pulled out shutting off switch.
- Lamp is burned out.
- Circuit breaker or fuse is tripped.
- Use of non-dimmable CFL.
- Lamp power is less than 40 Watts.
- Loose wire connection(s) in switch box.
- Bad lamp bulb connection.
