Cork flooring often comes in panels, although some manufacturers provide it in tiles too. In the case of a floating floor installation, the panel looks like the photo above (the panel color I used in the Den), and is approximately 12" wide by 36" long. The edges have specially fabricated grooves, similar to a tongue and groove, but are designed to interlock firmly in place. This is explained in more detail in the next section.
