Possible Symptom:
- Mildew.
- Damp walls.
- Heavy mustiness smell.
- Water condensation on window frames, window glass or wall.
- High humidity level in basement from a source such as a dryer vent.
- High humidity level in basement from big difference in temperature between wall with no vapor barrier and room air.
- Use a dehumidifier to remove water vapor from the basement and dehumidify the air.
- Air condition the basement which will provide dehumidified air.
- Insulate basement walls and use a vapor barrier.
