The Jigsaw, also commonly referred to as a Sabresaw, is a very handy home repair tool you'll want to get to know and use. This versatile power tool uses interchangeable blades and can cut wood, metal, plastic laminate, paneling, tile and other hard materials. It also has an adjustable base (called a shoe) and can crosscut, bevel, miter and make scrolling curved cuts. Jigsaws have some limitations however in thickness of the materials they cut.
