Fixed it myself!

Since buying an older home in January, 2011, I've been saving all the home repair articles I can find. How to Fix a Broken Garbage Disposal came a day after my son turned ours on with a dish cloth inside. My husband I work hard to save what we can but the disposal seemed to need a repairman or a replacement. I followed the steps, using a hex or star driver as the original tool was missing. Within a couple of minutes, the job was done, and with pride, I told my family, "I fixed it myself!". How much did I save? The cost of a whole new disposal, or the hourly charge of a repairman. My twins learned to check for unintended items in the disposal, and I learned another of the many repairs I can handle on my own.

Bless you. I followed your instructions, my disposal was humming, so I turned off the breaker, found the broom, pushed twice, tuned back in the breaker, press the reset and my disposal cranked right up. I have been waiting for the repairman for over a month and it took 3 mins.
