Installation of Pleat Spacers
Installing the pleat spacer combs can be a little frustrating unless you use these tips. Once you get the first spacer placed, the rest are easy if you follow this guide:
- The secret is to place the first spacer and then slide the rest into the opened pleats and slide them down to where they need to be located.
- To place the first spacer, start at one end of the pleated filter and carefully place one tooth of the spacer into each pleat until you get to the other side. Make sure you do not have any pleats doubled up.
- Once this first spacer is placed, install the other spacers close together right next to the first spacer to take advantage of the correct pleat spacing provided by the first spacer.
- Move each spacer comb down to its notched location in the top and bottom holding brackets and snap into place.
