Removing a garbage disposal is necessary if you are going to replace a sink or a failed garbage disposal. Now, if you still need to remove the disposal, it is very easy and you save some steps if you are replacing it with the exact same model. If not, no problem, I'll explain how to get this thing off!
First, gather some basic tools such as:
- Adjustable wrench or Channellock pliers (tongue and groove pliers)
- Hacksaw (may be needed)
- Putty knife
- Plastic scouring pad
