Introduction to Replacing a Toilet
At some point you will be faced with the decision to replace a toilet. It may be for cosmetic reasons or it may be because the toilet is broken or cracked. It may also be due to water leakage from the bottom of the toilet due to a failed wax ring. Whether you are just replacing the wax ring or replacing the toilet entirely, this tutorial will describe the steps involved in toilet removal and replacement. It is not as hard as you might imagine and only takes a couple of hours or so.

  • Closet Flange (may be required)

  • A Helper (to lift the toilet)
